The French authorities have lifted all health restrictions related to Covid-19 for travel from broad to France, Corsica, and overseas.

Therefore, it's no longer necessary for travelers to present the following health documents:

  • Vaccination certificate
  • Negative Covid-19 test result
  • Certificate of Recovery
  • Compelling reasons for travel
  • Digital passenger locater

Kenya Airways (KQ) wishes to clarify on the capping of departing passengers out of London's Heathrow Airport (LHR):

KQ will continue to operate 9 weekly flights to London.

On 12 July 2022, the UK government announced it was implementing a cap for all airlines operating at Heathrow from 12 July to 11 September 2022. The cap is to manage resource and staffing challenges at the Airport.

KQ has taken pre-emptive measures to avoid overbooking from 25th July as LHR will soon advise on caps that we will need to adapt to.

The capping on the number of departing passengers in Europe and parts of Asia is not new and has been applied from Amsterdam and China for all airlines operating in those countries.

Kenya Airways (KQ) and South African Airways (SA) have signed a codeshare agreement that opens more destinations for seamless travel opportunities within the continent of Africa.

The deal enables travelers to combine flight segments and baggage on a single ticket.

Passengers traveling out of South Africa will have more options to travel to African destinations including Nairobi, Dar es Salaam, Entebbe, Mombasa, and Kisumu while KQ passengers will have more choices for travel into Southern Africa including Cape Town, Durban, and Harare.

Regional low-cost carrier Jambojet began operations to North Kivu Capital, Goma in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, and to the Coastal Island of Lamu as part of its expansion program.

The inaugural flight to Goma was on 10th September 2021, starting with 2 frequencies weekly. This is set to grow to 4 frequencies weekly, flying on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The airline will fly to Lamu 4 times weekly, starting 15th September 2021. Customers will be able to book Nairobi to Lamu and Mombasa to Lamu as well as Lamu to Mombasa and Lamu to Nairobi.

IATA projects a growing demand for air transport across the African continent. Jambojet currently flies to 6 destinations including Mombasa, Diani, Eldoret, Kisumu and Malindi from its primary hub in Nairobi. The airline also operates a direct flight from Mombasa to Kisumu and Eldoret. In a bid to diversify its product offering, Jambojet launched Charter services in October 2020.

British Airways resumed flights between London Heathrow and Nairobi from Saturday 4th of September 2021. Flights will initially operate once a week, departing London for Nairobi on Saturdays and returning from Nairobi to London on Sundays.
